Due to EU’s security regulations (called PSD2), some users now need to verify their identity when they have performed too many PIN-less transactions. This is to protect against a third party stealing and using the payment device for unlimited low value payments. The amount varies depending on the country and bank.
When you have reached your PIN-less transaction limit with your wearable, payments on your wearable will be paused and you therefore need to activate it to be able to use Fidesmo Pay on your wearable again. This is why we send out the email with the title “Action required: Activate payments on your wearable” to you, with instructions on how you can activate it for payments again. This email will be sent to you from email@example.com, every time you have reached your PIN-less transaction limit. The limit varies depending on the country and bank.
Once payments on your wearable are activated, you will be able to make PIN-less payments with your wearable again, until you reach the PIN-less transaction limit once more.
